“I first met Thierry Sprunger in 1994, about two-thirds of the way through our preparation for the 1996 Olympic Games.  He and I were on opposite sides of the table in a negotiation in Lausanne regarding something that must have been exceedingly important at the time, but that I fail to remember at the moment.  

What began as a formal business association evolved into a friendship that has lasted since the mid-90s, through periods of negotiation, debate, mutual problem solving, , the wind down and closure of the 1996 Games, and a variety of consulting assignments in other Olympic cities.   I have always found Thierry to be thoughtful, fair, knowledgeable, and above all practical.  He is true to his word and I am pleased to call him a friend.”
